Food this week - 3.17.13-3.23.13

I was out of town for some of last week, so a lot of my 'meals' came from restaurants...when I got back to town we ate a lot of leftovers from the previous week.

Here's what's on the docket this week...

Broiled Salmon w/herb mustard glaze

Tortellini soup with beans and chard

Dal Nirvana

Spinach quinoa salad with grapes, pears & almonds

Lentils with brown rice and feta

Food this week - 3.3.13-3.9.13

We'll be making some repeats from recent weeks.

The lentil soup and tortellini salad from last week will be revisited. In addition, we'll be making our homemade guac, salsa and hummus (see previous weeks).

As for additional dinners we've got:

Linguini with Spicy Shrimp

and

Shepherd's pie that combines that recipe with this one and these mashed potatoes.

Additional lunches:

Mediterranean orzo salad

Edamame Stew


AND - we'll be christening our ice cream maker by trying out this pink grapefruit sorbet recipe.

Lentil Vegetable Soup

Warm Tortellini salad

We'll also make barbecued chicken, for which there is no recipe, the Greek orzo salad from last week (it's good!), a green salad, hummus and guac!

Lunch/Dinner - 2.10.13-2.16.13

Things have changed around here. We've begun making only 3-4 dinners per week, and eating leftovers certain nights...AND we've begun making salads for lunches...So here are our lunches and dinners this week...

Chicken tortilla soup

Broiled salmon with herbed mustard glaze (and this spinach as a side)

Chipotle bean burritos

Quinoa and Apple salad w/honey curry dressing

Corn, avocado and tomato salad

Hummus

Tomato salsa, loosely based on this.
